We are very proud of the history of Frost & Sullivan as it has been a combined effort of many people and clients over many years. The timeline of our company will walk you through a year by year history starting with our founding in New York in 1961 to where we are today as a global enterprise covering every industry and region.Jonathan Swift said: “Vision is the art of seeing things invisible.” Lore Frost & Dan Sullivan saw the invisible in 1961 over lunch, starting our 60-year journey. In the half-century since its founding, Frost & Sullivan has become a widely recognized leader in the information and growth advisory industry – a Growth Pipeline company.

1980
Frost & Sullivan develops a unique measurement-based system to qualify & quantify market and growth opportunities, resulting in the creation of the Market Engineering Research & Consulting division -
1992
Seeing opportunities to address Francophone markets, Frost & Sullivan establishes a presence in Paris and begins serving clients in French-speaking regions -
1994
Mountain View, CA regional HQ opens, combining Frost & Sullivan’s research, consulting, and sales teams with industry verticals that are powering the rise of Silicon Valley -
1997
In response to requests from major players in southeast Asia, Frost & Sullivan opens a HQ in Singapore and begins addressing regional markets -
1998
Frost & Sullivan continues serving the broader Asian market with the opening of the Mumbai, India office to serve Indian and South Asian customers
Our first foray into the Chinese market is the opening of our Beijing office, the first of many scheduled to be opened in mainland China
